Medical coding course for pharmacy graduates
What a medical code is, and who the medical coding page says the course is for.
What medical coding is
A clinical note is written in words. A code is a fixed number for a diagnosis or a procedure, so that a record can be counted the same way every time. ICD-10-CM is one of those code sets. The medical coding curriculum on this site starts with the foundations of medical coding and then ICD-10-CM conventions, guidelines, and chapters.
Pharmacy graduates
The course page names B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm D and life sciences graduates. The mentor named there is Dileep Kumar Sopeti. His note on the mentors section says a B.Pharm from Andhra University and work with Phycare, Omega Healthcare, AnnexMed and WNS. The course issues a PharmaWiz certificate, the same line as the other course pages.
How it sits in the programme
The page describes medical coding as training inside ASCEND. ASCEND is 4 months and 120 hours, offline in KPHB or online on Microsoft Teams. The placements page is the list of roles learners have taken.
